Friday, August 11, 2017 – Meet up with your Triple Crown Travel tour hosts at our St. Louis hotel, the Hilton St. Louis at the Ballpark. Saturday, August 12, 2017– On Saturday morning we will depart St. Louis and head up to Chicago for three full nights at the Springhill Suites by Marriott Chicago Downtown River North hotel. That evening we head over to newly renamed Guaranteed Rate Field as the White Sox host the Kansas City Royals. Although not a unique ballpark, definitely a great place to watch a game on the south side of Chicago.
Sunday, August 13, 2017 – Sunday morning we will make our way up to Milwaukee to watch the Cincinnati Reds take on the Brewers at beautiful Miller Park. The roof should be open for what will be a great afternoon ballgame between these two National League foes. After the game, you will have plenty of time to take advantage of your free evening in Chicago as we return to our same hotel.
Monday, August 14, 2017 – We start this day off with a Chicago River & Lake Michigan Architecture Boat Tour. There are no better views of the city than from a Wendella Cruise boat as we head up the Chicago River and enjoy the narrated tour hosted by an architectural expert. We then head out to Lake Michigan for an amazing view of the Chicago sightline and more history of this fine city. After the boat tour, enjoy a fine lunch in the city or do more sightseeing before we head over to the north side of Chicago to watch the Cubs take on the Reds at Wrigley Field. Once again we will return to our deluxe downtown hotel, the Springhill Suites Chicago Downtown River North, for our final night in Chicago.
Tuesday, August 15, 2017 – On Tuesday, we head for Minnesota and a visit to Target Field. The ballpark opened in downtown Minneapolis in 2010 and is a great place to watch a game with the fantastic backdrop of the Minneapolis skyline. Our hotel, the Hampton Inn Minneapolis Downtown is a top rated Trip Advisor property located in a prime downtown location within walking distance of the ballpark. The Cleveland Indians are in town to play the Twins which will be a great match-up to close out the 2017 Chicago Midwest Baseball Tour.
Wednesday, August 16, 2017 – At the conclusion of this fantastic Chicago Midwest Baseball Tour you can check of five more stadiums from your baseball travel bucket list.
