Saturday, June 10, 2017 – Our tour begins in Southern California as you meet up with your personal Triple Crown Travel tour hosts on Saturday morning at our San Diego hotel, the Best Western Plus Island Palms Hotel and Marina. This highly rated Trip Advisor hotel, is located just minutes from San Diego International Airport on the picturesque Shelter Island on San Diego Bay. Once you meet up with your tour hosts and fellow baseball fans, we will head over to beautiful Petco Park located in the Downtown Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego as the Padres take on the Kansas City Royals in this interleague afternoon game.
Sunday, June 11, 2017 – Sunday morning we head up the California coastline to Los Angeles and Chavez Ravine for an afternoon matinee between the Cincinnati Reds and the Dodgers. The sunny San Gabriel Mountains are the backdrop for this historical stadium just north of downtown Los Angeles. After the game, we will head down to Anaheim for two nights of deluxe accommodations at the Anaheim Marriott Suites.
Monday, June 12, 2017 – Monday will be a day to explore all that Southern California has to offer as we head over to the ocean side town of Huntington Beach. You will have several hours to explore Main Street in this famous beachside retreat known as Surf City USA. Grab some lunch at one of the many restaurants, shop for some new beach gear, take a stroll on the Pier or get some rays on the beach. That night we will be part of a large crowd at Angel Stadium as the Yankees are in town to take on the Angels.
Tuesday, June 13, 2017 – On Tuesday, we depart from Anaheim and head for Pacific Coast Highway 1. Our first stop will be the intimate town of Solvang, CA, modeled after an authentic Danish village. There will be plenty of time for a meal and window shopping before the final leg of our daily trip that takes us to Hearst Castle. That afternoon we will have the opportunity to tour portions of Hearst Castle before enjoying the evening in the seaside town of Cambria at the ocean front FogCatcher Inn. Enjoy a sunset meal and take in the amazing sights from the bluff top ocean views in this cottage style inn.
Wednesday, June 14, 2017 – We depart our ocean front hotel bright and early as we make our way up to Northern California for some more baseball. We will head up Highway 101 and travel directly to AT&T Park in San Francisco as the Kansas City Royals are in town to play the Giants in a midweek afternoon matinee. The San Francisco Bay provides the perfect backdrop as we enjoy the game from our lower level shaded seats in Section 127. After the game, we will have a full evening to enjoy our prime hotel location at the San Francisco Marriott at Fisherman’s Wharf. We will be able to enjoy two full nights at this wonderful property right in the middle of all that San Francisco has to offer.
Thursday, June 15, 2017 – Today is a big day as we will have the opportunity to take a private group tour of the amazing AT&T Park. Consistently ranked as one of the best baseball stadiums and fan experiences in the Major Leagues, the tour should surely be a highlight of your vacation. We will visit the dugouts, press box, and a luxury suite of this beautiful gem of a ballpark. There will be many opportunities for fantastic pictures of both the ballpark and the amazing sightlines of San Francisco Bay, McCovey Cove, and the Oakland Bay Bridge. Later that evening, we will be crossing the Bay Bridge in our deluxe motorcoach for the final game on our tour at the Oakland Coliseum between the Yankees and the Athletics. After the game, we will head back over to San Francisco to our prime hotel.
Friday, June 16, 2017 – At the conclusion of this fantastic California & Hearst Castle Baseball Tour, you can check of all five California stadiums from your baseball travel bucket list.
