Saturday, March 23, 2019 – Our Arizona Spring Training – Opening Day Baseball Tour will combine the final week of Spring Training games and then two regular season MLB games in Southern California. We start off the tour with a meet-up at our first hotel the Hilton Phoenix Airport Hotel on the afternoon of Saturday, March 23. After checking in with your tour hosts, we head up to Scottsdale for a Cubs – Rockies evening game at the beautiful Salt River Fields at Talking Stick.
Sunday, March 24, 2019 – Our Arizona Spring Training Tour continues with a game in Surprise, AZ as the Texas Rangers host the Kansas City Royals. The weather should be perfect with Surprise Stadium a fantastic place to watch a ballgame. You will never feel cramped at this ballpark as the concourses are nice and wide, the outfield lawn seats green and open, with the sightlines great from any seat. After the game we will check into the 4 Star – Renaissance Phoenix Glendale Hotel & Spa, which will be our home for the next three nights. Our hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants at the Westgate Entertainment District Outdoor Mall.
Monday, March 25, 2019 – Check off another Major League Ballpark on this day, as we will visit Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks as they take on the Chicago White Sox as the Spring Training Season winds down. The roof should be open at this fine ballpark as you enjoy the views from your great lower level seats for the game.
Tuesday, March 26, 2019 – The Boston Red Sox make a rare appearance in Arizona for their final Spring Training game before heading up to Seattle for Opening Day. The Red Sox Spring Training Home is in Fort Myers, FL but with the team traveling to the West Coast for Opening Day, they will be making a stop in Mesa, AZ for two games with the Cubs to finish up the Spring. Enjoy this game from the First Base Party Deck Area that includes a shaded seat and all you can eat food and drink. Wednesday, March 27, 2019 – We depart Arizona and head to California and sunny San Diego for 2019 MLB Opening Day. Our accommodations for the next two nights are in a prime location at the Hotel Indigo San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, just a block from Petco Park and right in the middle of the Gaslamp District of San Diego. You will have plenty of free time to explore this wonderful location with prime restaurants, entertainment, and Petco Park just steps away.
Thursday, March 28, 2019 – 2019 MLB Opening Day is here! We will be right in the middle of the action as the San Francisco Giants are in town to take on the San Diego Padres at beautiful Petco Park. The Opening Day festivities will be in full swing and you are free to take part any way you choose from your prime downtown hotel location. The whole city is right at your fingertips, both before and after the Padres home opener!
Friday, March 29, 2019 – We say good-bye to the beautiful city of San Diego and head up the Pacific Coast towards Los Angeles. We will make our first stop at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, CA for a ballpark tour at the home of the Angels. We will then have some free time for lunch before heading on over to the Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel for check-in. After getting settled into our hotel, we will head up to Dodger Stadium for an evening game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Los Angeles Dodgers. This classic ballpark provides an amazing backdrop, loaded with tons of baseball history, for this great match up between two NL West rivals.
Saturday, March 30, 2019 – You are free to fly out at any time on March 30 as our LAX hotel makes for a convenient choice to get back home.
