Our Florida Opening Day – Spring Training Baseball Tour will combine the final week of Spring Training games and then two regular season MLB games involving both Florida teams. We will start off the tour with a meet-up at our host hotel near the Tampa Airport the night of Saturday, March 25.
Sunday, March 26, 2023 – We head down to Sarasota, FL and Ed Smith Stadium as the Baltimore Orioles are hosting the Philadelphia Phillies. The Orioles and Phillies rosters should be rounding into final shape for the regular season and the weather should be great in sunny Sarasota, FL! After the game, the rest of the night is free for you to enjoy the many restaurants and shops located just steps from our four-star hotel.
Monday, March 27, 2023 – Today we have a short drive, just around the corner from our hotel to George M. Steinbrenner Field as the Tampa Bay Rays visit the New York Yankees in this final Spring Training showdown for both teams. The field dimensions at Steinbrenner Field are the same as Yankee Stadium, but the seating and sightlines are much more intimate at the Yankees spring home in Tampa, FL.
Tuesday, March 28, 2023 – Our final Spring Training game is an interleague match-up between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Philadelphia Phillies in the pristine beachfront town of Clearwater, FL. This game will be the final Spring tune-up before the Blue Jays travel to St. Louis for Opening Day, while the Phillies will be off to Texas for their opener!
Wednesday, March 29, 2023 – Spring Training is officially over on March 29 as all MLB teams prepare for the league wide March 30 Opening Day slate of games. With this one-day lull in baseball, we take advantage of the off day for some fun in the Florida sun as we look to add a nice harbor tour to the itinerary. We will also make sure to have plenty of free time in order to take full advantage of the lovely Florida weather in March!
Thursday, March 30, 2023 – Opening Day is finally here as all 30 teams open the 2023 season! We will be attending the Rays home opener at Tropicana Field as they take on the Detroit Tigers. A great early season match-up between these two AL East rivals with each team’s number one starter on the mound!
Friday, March 31, 2023 – We depart our Tampa, FL hotel and make our way over to Miami, FL for a game between the New York Mets and Miami Marlins at LoanDepot Park. Along our travels from Tampa to Miami, we will make a stop at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers, FL for a ballpark tour. JetBlue Park is the Spring Training home of the Boston Red Sox and the ballpark is a replica of Fenway Park. A truly unique ballpark that we will get to tour before we make the final leg over to Miami. After the JetBlue Park Tour and lunch in the Fort Myers area, we head over to Miami for the final game on our tour between the Mets and Marlins before our final evening at a Miami Airport hotel.
Saturday, April 1, 2023 – At the conclusion of the Florida Opening Day – Spring Training Baseball Tour, you can check off both Florida stadiums from your baseball travel bucket list. Make sure you say good-bye to your friends from the tour and start preparations to check off more ballparks with us in the summer!
