Wednesday, April 18, 2018 – Our tour begins in sunny Southern California as you meet up with your personal Triple Crown Travel tour hosts at our San Diego hotel. The weather should be great for this early season tour taking place during the first month of the 2018 baseball season. Once you meet up with your tour host and fellow baseball fans, we will head over to beautiful Petco Park located in the Downtown Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego as the Padres host the Los Angeles Dodgers in this NL West showdown.
Thursday, April 19, 2018 – On Thursday we head up the California coastline as we travel to Anaheim, our home for the next two nights. The Boston Red Sox will be looking forward to this early season road trip as they will be leaving the chilly East Coast for Southern California and a series versus the Los Angeles Angels. Angel Stadium will be the venue for this second game of the California and Hearst Castle Baseball Tour.
Friday, April 20, 2018 – Friday will be a day to explore all that Southern California has to offer as we head over to the ocean side town of Huntington Beach. You will have several hours to explore Main Street in this famous beachside retreat known as Surf City USA. Grab some lunch at one of the many restaurants, shop for some new beach gear, take a stroll on the Pier or get some rays on the beach. That night we will head up the freeway to Chavez Ravine, just north of downtown Los Angeles to be a part of the large crowd at Dodger Stadium for the match-up with the Washington Nationals.
Saturday, April 21, 2018 – Saturday morning we depart from Anaheim and head for the Pacific Coast Highway. Our first stop will be the intimate town of Solvang, CA, modeled after an authentic Danish village. There will be plenty of time for a meal and window shopping before the final leg of our daily trip that takes us to Hearst Castle. That afternoon we will have the opportunity to tour portions of Hearst Castle before turning in for the evening along the Central Coast.
Sunday, April 22, 2018 – We depart the central coast and make our way to Northern California for some more baseball. An afternoon matinee between the Boston Red Sox and the Oakland Athletics is on our schedule as we take in the game at the Oakland Coliseum. After the game we head over the Oakland Bay Bridge for two nights at our hotel right in the middle of the world famous Fisherman’s Wharf. The rest of the evening is yours to explore the city of San Francisco and enjoy a dinner at one of the many fine restaurants in town.
Monday, April 23, 2018 – Today is a big day as we will have the opportunity to take a private group tour of the amazing AT&T Park. Consistently ranked as one of the best baseball stadiums and fan experiences in the Major Leagues, the tour will surely be a highlight of your vacation. We will visit the dugouts, press box, and a luxury suite of this beautiful gem of a ballpark. There will be many opportunities for fantastic pictures of both the ballpark and the amazing sightlines of San Francisco Bay, McCovey Cove, and the Oakland Bay Bridge. After the ballpark tour, enjoy more free time in San Francisco for lunch, shopping, and sightseeing, before we return to AT&T Park that night as the Giants are hosting the Washington Nationals. After the game, we will head back to our prime San Francisco hotel at Fisherman’s Wharf.
Tuesday, April 24, 2018 – At the conclusion of this fantastic California & Hearst Castle Baseball Tour, you can check off all five California stadiums from your baseball travel bucket list. Make sure you say good-bye to your friends from the tour and start preparations to check off more stadiums during one of our other Triple Crown Travel Baseball Tours in 2019.
